A robust rocambole garlic with strong, complex flavor and a spicy kick. Russian Red grows reliably in cold climates and produces strong plants with vigorous scape production. Russian Red is perfect for those who love a  strong, rich garlic taste with a little bit of zip. Approximately 6-8 cloves/bulb. Russian Red is known for large clove size. Even in smaller bulbs, there will often be 3 or 4 large cloves rather than 6-8 smaller ones.

As a rocambole, shelf life is shorter than other hard necks, averaging 5-6 months in ideal conditions.
